				| We are planning to design a routine which can page us in case of channel issues. Currently the channels are started automatically by a process which is associated with Transmission queue. We are worried what if the process tries to start the channel and the channel refuses to start.. like going to retry mode, In-doubt Mode and .... So we want to design a way to capture this situation and page the responsible person. We are using MQ 5.2 in the Mainframe enviroment. We presently have a batch trigger monitor to monitor a queue... SO if some one can throw some light on what event will be generated in what queue... it will be great
 Thanks in advance,
 Subash Srinivasan.

				| You say you're on a zseries server, I guess you allready have something like SA/390, you could use that to collect the WTO messages.
If you like to code something on your own, try take a look on SYSTEM.ADMIN.CHANNEL.EVENT, the channel initiator puts messages here when someting happens the the channels. MQ will record what happens to the channels here.

There are a supportpack (not for zseries), but it might inspire you:
 http://www-3.ibm.com/software/integration/support/supportpacs/individual/ms0k.html
But with some small programming skills it might be possible to run it (if you have a c-compiler on your server).

 Just my $0.02
