Hi,
I could see format coming as AXERR in RFH and the message fails. what is AXERR means and when it occurs? |

See where? Under what circumstances? What does the application which sent the message have to say about this?
What significance does you double posting this is the Clustering section have?

The format of any given MQ Header indicates the contents of the NEXT section of the message.
So if you have a message with the following Format strings - MQMD.Format=MQHRF2
- MQRFH2.Format=AXERR
, that means that the next piece of the message is described by the format constant AXERR.
I've never heard of a format that uses a constant 'AXERR' to describe itself. So I've no idea what format it is.
Perhaps the person who asked you to solve this problem - i.e. your boss or coworker - can provide you with more information on what systems might be involved, and you can then do more work to find out which system might possibly use something like 'AXERR' to describe it's data. And then you can decide if it's likely that whatever system that is would use 'ERR' to describe a valid message, rather than an error message. And that will help you decide what to do with this message - i.e. treat it as real data or treat it as an error message.
Or you could just wait around a while until someone else comes along who actually knows what AXERR is and they posted the answer here, and in the meantime tell everyone who asks you that, indeed, you are diligently trying to solve this problem and it's just gosh so tricky. |

I'm guessing that AXERR is home-grown. A quick google search for AXERR didn't offer much/anything related to WMB.
