Data in a database is persisted and a shared row is in memory. It will get lost, if the process ends. You can e.g. combine both: Load data from a db table and cache it in a shared row.

How can you come up with such questions... "can I use memory instead of (a table in) a database?". The question almost makes no sense. _________________ Just use REFERENCEs |

Please don't ask the same question in two places.

A few minutes before you opened this thread, you posted here

It is not considered good practice to ask the same question twice. 99.99% of the time, it won't be answered any quicker.
