Hi, I am trying to set up datasource on broker 7 AIX Oracle 10g. I have updated the datasource oracle stanza on /var/mqsi and copied the oracle jdbc driver on my server and added to my classpath.

Oracle is running in another server. When I start my broker, it start fine but my compute node is getting a database exception. Do I need oracle client to be installed for Datasoure to work?

Please help, nothing get writtern to the user.log, so I am clueless as to where or what is happening. |

Have you looked (using the ever helpful Search facility) for similar posts as yours.

I know of one from only a week or so ago that was very much like yours. _________________ WMQ User since 1999

I honestly searched.... Maybe I am searching for the wrong thing. The only results I have found was on Broker 6.1, which I have done before and followed exactly the same instructions to set up.. Broker 7

Have you considered that it might just be the same a V6.1? After all, Broker is still using ODBC to talk to Oracle.

did you try installing & configuring the ORacle Client?

If so what was the result? _________________ WMQ User since 1999
