				| Hi Guys,
I am certifying Websphere MQ 7 for our application but unfortunately I do not have any experience with websphere MQ.

I have been able to connect to the MQ server remotely with a Windows 2003 installed client since they have the same domain user login.

However, I tried connecting from iSeries and our application could not finde the Queue manager. Our application is written in C++ and uses the MQSERVER environment setting to find the MQ server host.

I read that MQ Server security requires that the logged in user should be a user that is added to the MQM windows group for it to be allowed access to MQ. However, since the client is in iSeries, I cannot add the user in iSeries in windows.

Is there a setting or property I can change in either the Environment settings or in MQS Security settings to allow access from an iSeries client?

MQ_USER_ID and MQ_PASSWORD do not seem to work.

Thank you very much in advance guys.

				| i-Series cannot act as an MQ client, with the exception of Java applications. | |
