One transports messages the other doesn't. But does a lot more other things, including transport information.

I usually tell beginners....in basic terms, MQ is for transportation, and MB is for transformation.

				You might want to search for the WMQ Primer on this site.  I'm sure there is a link.
 
 
As far as more info, I always say that WMQ delivered messages.  It wasn't concerned with the actual contents.
 
 
The Broker actually looked at the contents and did things with it.

				Broker sits on top of MQ...so to say you can think of Broker as adding intelligence to MQ...in terms of Messages...not Transportation   _________________ Ashu
