hi,
can any one tell me how to install Mqseries version 5.6 on windows xp for mq base java and jms. do i need to install any thing else like websphere server .etc before installing mqseries. i hav got downloaded support pac named mqc6_Win.Zip.how shall i install using this .some one plz reply me in detail regarding this.

Hi Suja,
There is no need of websphere server for installing MQ Series.
I really confused about the version that you specified here
(Mqseries version 5.6 on windows xp )
are you trying to install MQ V5.3 or MQ V6.0 (Server or Client)
mqc6_Win.Zip : this is MQ Client Installation Software and its Version is 6.0.
please let us know

Please use the instructions provided on the page from which you downloaded the client package. This should have been http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg24009961, about half way down that page there is a heading 'Installation Instructions'.

hi,
Thanks for the reply.Now I hav installed a trail pac with name WMQv600Trial-x86_win.zip. but i could not able to run JMSAdmin tool . while i am trying to do it at cmd prompt, its giving an Exception--"Exception in Thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError".plz tell me how to run JMS Admin.
