Not sure if this is an "MQ install issue" or an "I don't know what I'm doing with smit" question... but please read on.

The inital base install appears fine. I have been able to create Qmgr, local and remote objects, etc. Output from lslpp is below:

mqm.Client.Bnd             5.3.0.1  COMMITTED  WebSphere MQ Client Bundle

When I follow the "Applying maintenance to WebSphere MQ for AIX" in the AIX Quick Beginnings document I find that smit is complaining about "MISSING REQUISITES". I have even tried to just upgrade a single package (mqm.server.rte 5.3.0.11) and keep getting told about the missing requisite "mqm.keyman.rte 5.3.0.11 # Fileset Update"

If the keyman.rte does not have an update in this package how can I apply the other updates? I considered moving to CSD10 to see if the mqm.keyman.rte was in there but aren't the CSD suppose to each roll up?

Any input is appreciated. |

Try to Update to a lower CSD , which has the base Keyman.rte fileset

i.e csd 5 or 3 and them upgrade to 11

I guess at the time of 5.30 release there is no fileset for keyman.rte , which is needed only for SSL,

If you don't need ssl support try to install CSD which say no SSL , i.e on with no Keyman.rte |

The update comes in 2 flavors SSL and non SSL. You have to use the flavor you installed. In this case it looks like you installed non SSL.
