				Hi All

We are in the process of migrating to 6.0 from v5.

The next release of my project is in a couple of months when the prod server will be migrated.

So i dont want to migrate my flows until then because once i migrate i will not be able to deploy anything to prod (if i get a major defect in the mean time)

But I still want to install 6.0 on my local machine and play with it.

i have v5 installed and working fine on my machine and i have installed v6.0 toolkit and broker on the same machine at a different place

my question is can i have 2 configmgrs on the same machine??

in other words can I use 6.0 to develop some new flows, deploy them without affecting the existing 5.0 installation??

did anyone do this??

You can create a v6 configmgr with something other than the default name.

As I understand it, it should be possible to run entirely separate v5 and v6 environments on the same machine. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

This is correct, V5 and V6 can co-exist,

well, i think the default names for each of them are different anyway

also, how would the commands work like mqsilist would display which list 5.0 or 6.0??

				Hi Madi

As an extra to the discussion above, I found it very useful to install v6 in a vmware shell on your PC. After a clean install of the software, I'd take a snapsnot and then do the migration process and play.

You can always revert back to the clean install at any time.

Best wishes |
