				Hi everybody!

   thanks for all those extending their helping hand.

   I am able to get around my HP3000/MPEix

   with a relative ease.

   I have 2 issues in my progress.

   Issue 1.

   ---------

   Got some small COBOL codes compiled.

   BUT..., I am not able to open a file for INPUT

   either by Sequential or Line Sequential.

   Wondering what could the issue be?

   I would like to just read from a file and

   make a display.

   Accept some data from User and put it in a file.

   I donot need it as aa record structure.

   Anybody have any sample codes?

   Select with ASSIGN TO DISK, throws an error/warning

   VOL should be <= 6.

   When I try to open, I get a File-Status 39.

   One thing is for sure. It did not like my "DATA.INP"

   file. "DATA" is Ok. I guess it must be looking

   at that INP as some kind of ACCOUNT or GROUP kind

   of info. (I am learning HP3000. hahahaha)

   Issue 2:

   ---------

    I am able to compile. And I think I am missing

    some thing at the LINKing.

    thats why, I get a LDERR (must be Load Error)

    of cannot load MQCONN or some thing to that tune.

    I am making MQ Client Calls.

    I think I may have to add, in the link statement,

    XL=blah,blah2,MQBLAH;  Is that correct?

    what is that MQXXXZZ?

    Is there a sample MQSeries client code for HP3000 environment?

   Is anybody around with

    this knowledge? thanks in advance.
