I have a question about upgrading my 5.1 MQ Series to CSD03 on my NSK with G06.27. The instructions say to have a copy of your configuration file available that you used to create your MQ Series objects. Does this mean after I upgrade I have to recreate my queue managers from scratch? It doesn't say that specifically, but it seems like it is implied. I do have the file I need to recreate the queue manager if needed, but I wanted to know for sure what I was getting into before upgrading.

I also want to apply eFix04 at the same time. Does anyone know of any 'gotchas' with applying this at the same time? I assume I don't have to apply eFix03 first and everything was rolled up to eFix04.

Thanks in advance for your replies.

Well, that SEEMS unlikely. But in any case, you should always backup your system before applying FP's and always backup the qmgr object defs....

May I suggest you open a problem record with IBM service and ask them these two questions, that way, you'll have the "official" response. _________________ -wayne |

Efix4 need only CSD3 , is not necesary apply any Efix before and not necesary recreate the QMgrs. Backup your QMgrs is recomended on all cases (not only for NSK). If you need the saveqmgr ( adapted from Wayne's source) for NSK (under Guardian) , you can download from my web page at http://www.luisfer.info/fuentes/SAVEQMGRTANDEM.zip

No , I forgot it (i will do) , but only need upload to nsk as ascii and run the makefile , it is a tacl macro that make the compilations and the nld. It only need the $Vol of the zmqsexe & a temporary vol.subvol.

Of course, the excellent work is from Wayne, not me.
