We are testing the connection of our MQSeries OS/390 V2R1 with a

MQSeries Windows client V5.2.

When converting data from EBCDIC to ASCII we found that EBCDIC

character NL (x'15') is converted to ASCII character + (decimal 43,

hex 2B).

We are using CCSID 500 in OS/390 and CCSID 850 in Windows client

environment.

We found in some documentation that NL in EBCDIC is converted as ASCII

line feed (hex 0A) since V5.1 depending of the value specified in the

MQS.INI file.

Any help will be appreciated.

Well I looked up the CCSID for NT they have 3 listed, the only one we have ever used is the 437 and we dont seem to have your issue, you can issue alt qmgr

CCSID command and change it, if you want to try it.

				Okay,

I changed the message from your MQM root on the client

check convtable for a file readme.ccs (contains what files are required for conversion)

plus all the *.tbl files (they contain the values for each CCSID)

more info the conversion from 437 to 500

appears the 01f401b5.tbl file doesnt appear to be in the default client install, however

on a full NT Qmanager install the file is present.
