Hi,
Is there any maximum limit on the length of a role name. I connected to the runtime database and did a describe on the roles table. The max length allocated for it is 32.
Is it possible to increase it ... if so, will it have any impact on the configuration/functioning of the software if i manually change it to a higher value.
Any pointers in this regard would be very helpful.

Right... the MAX length is the maximum length permitted. Actually I think the max length of Role is 33 (seems like a strange max to me but that's what the MAX Role Length constant is set to... although that may include the trailing null that I believe C uses for strings).

Thanks for the information. May be we have to change our naming convention to squeeze in within the permitted MAX.
