Remember you can only do a get from a local queue.

No.
 
 
On z/OS it is possible to share a queue between more than one queue manager - it is still a local queue on all queue managers. 
 
 
It is never possible to get messages from a queue that is not a qlocal on the qmgr you are connected to. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |
