I was wondering if anyone new if the -i option on the runmqlsr command worked only with IP and not DNS names.

Thanks in advance |

(Think you've posted in the wrong area, it's "new" mq info, not if anybody "new" about it )

What is the "-i" option - which version or platform is it on. Did a quick look on our 5.3 Aix box and it's not supported. Aix lets lets you use TCP or UDP, but as for "-i" - no idea.... |

				Read the manual:

	| Quote: |

	-i IPAddr

The IP address for the listener, specified in dotted decimal or alphanumeric format. This flag is valid only for TCP/IP. If you omit this parameter, the listener listens on all IP addresses available to the TCP/IP stack. |

This is running on AIX version 5 MQ version 5.3 CSD 7

I was talking with someone else who said they have had issues with other software on AIX when selecting a particlur port.

The -i option is supported on AIX and is the IP or DNS name of the interface you what the listner running on.

I will do a little more digging to see if I can find something under AIX OS.

Sorry about putting this under the wrong subject I guest it is just one of those days....

Thanks for the reponses. |
