Then again, there are some providers of virtualized platforms that demand payment per gigabyte of data, and, somehow, getting an extra ten gigabyte for ones logging and data volumes always seems more trouble than it's worth. Or perhaps the people managing the platform are strict adherents to the philosophy that good planning is better than lots of hardware - but I doubt it.
