AFAIK, WMQ installation can happen on the existence of user id mqm and group id mqm rite.. and also i believe the discussion is all bout installtion of MQ on same node...

That's right - the package pre-install code on all platforms checks for the existence of the group and user 'mqm'. The files in the packages are defined to be owned by that group/user combination - there is no provision for changing this - if that group/user do not exist then installp/pkgadd/swinstall/rpm will fail when trying to chown the files. The product will not work with any other group/user. _________________ Philip Morten
