i got a client

Do you mean that you have an MQ Client application, bound with the MQ Client bindings, and running on another platform with the MQ Client software installed on it?

If so, the client application doing an MQCONN will cause the SRVCONN channel on the server to start.

Is this what you are after?

Again... you can do this.

But there are better ways to do it... like just issuing a command to start the channel anyway, scheduled from something.

Or using the command server to send a PCF to start the channel.
