Yeah, I'll probably have to add a grandmaster exception for the search flood control too... |
You might think about setting that exception to master or even lower.
Given that for example I am not a grand Master yet, but was running into this trap already quiet some times. I'd think many non grand master regular posters/readers did. But just a suggestion, of course. |

Apparently the search flood control is a new default in 2.0.21, did you set it after installation? if not, that maybe the problem.

PS I would be happy to become a board admin, if you let me... _________________ Michael

Well, I think it's there for good reason. Someone could quickly overwhelm my database with some search queries that return thousands of hits, so I would like to keep it in place. But I will try to put in an exception for experienced users... _________________ Brandon Duncan

That would be great, but the function that I still miss the most is the ability to see whats changed in the last 24 hours (by doing search author="***" and Seach Previos = "1 day"..... any chance of getting that back ? _________________ -wayne |

I just upgraded my board to 2.0.21 and noticed indeed this was missing,
I did some research and found a way around it and made it work again on my board...!
Brandon can we have this functionality back? Puhlease... _________________ Michael

Michael, is the bump for the search flood control or the last 24 hours query, or both? And do you happen to know what the patch is for the last 24 hours query? _________________ Brandon Duncan

basically both, but if you are afraid of overloading your server I will settle just for the ability to do * searches again as currently that is not possible at all...
I'll pm you what field to update as it is not on the control panel of your board... _________________ Michael
