I have to prepare a XML to MRM flow. I don't know what would be the max number of times one particular tag will repeat in the input XML. I will be using the OCCURS DEPENDING ON clause in my copybook. There I should not mention OCCURS FROM 1 TO MAX clause (as I dont know the MAX number the tag will repeat). Can anybody suggest me any solution for this? What should be the caluse in the copybook or any other entirely different solution to this problem?

Thanks,

Ajit. |

I am not a COBOL expert, but you can just say "OCCURS DEPENDING ON" in your COBOL copybook.

When modeling your MRM message, set the element property in Connection tab to "Repeat". Also, in CWF tab, specify Repeat Value of some Integer element. _________________ Kiran

You didn't mention what version you are using.

FYI - In V5 Repeat Value Of is called Repeat Reference. |

It worked when I did following:

1. In my message set, while modelling the message, in the Connection tab I made the value of "Repeat" as "Yes".

2. In the CWF tab, I made the "Repeat Count Type" field to have the value "Value of".

In this case I did not need to give the value of MAX no. ocurances in the copybook.

Thanks Kiran |
