I looked in the NETCOOL info-center and I did a google search on monitoring with NETCOOL. I am coming up empty. So I am thinking may it is not NEWCOOL that is the integration point. Anyone using this to monitor MQ and give me a direction pointer?

Thanks in Advance. |

I shall leave the answer for the boards members to provide ...

but, to have by chance noticed a Forums member posting a question whose profile shows he first registered with us back in Sept 2001 ... is so very encouraging and nice. thank you |

I boarded in 1997, but struggled on in ignorance and darkness for 4 years longer than you before finding this place

I am both old, and well provisioned. There's a lot of spare capacity round my waist. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

Doesn't NETCOOL use SNMP traps?

I used netcool back in 2007-2008. Although they claimed to support MQ back then, I had to implement an interface between mq and netcool myself. That's of course quite a few years ago, so I don't know what the current state is. Generally netcool was an aweful piece of software to work with.

Cheers,
