Hello Vitor,

I got your name correct.
So now, my understanding is to get the XML structure out of SAP. SAP automatically creates xsd's as well. I will create DFDL for text file as destination.

what would be the source. Am i gonna be using esql for this transformation?

You could create it by hand, or use the advice of my worthy associate. Whichever works best for you.

I don't know - are you? You've stated in other posts you're new to Java so maybe not that. If it's more simplistic than I think it's going to be you could use a Mapping node. Or you could use ESQL. Again, whichever you feel best fits your situation.

Make sure when you create the DFDL model that you follow the IDOC Structure as defined by SAP and that you use a differentiator on the record for the SDATA part depending on the trim(segname) of the EDI_DD40.
On the EDI_DD40 you will most probably have some mandatory setup (depends what in what order) and some choice because not all segments are mandatory...

Have fun
