				Hi

Does IIB9 or will the upcoming IIB10 support XSD 1.1 or Schematron rules ? Any way of using these to validate incoming SOAP payloads? _________________ Regards |

- What does the IIBv9 documentation say about supported XSD versions?

- No one who knows what IIBv10 does is currently allowed to talk about it

- I'm not aware of any out-of-the-box capability to use Schematron, but I would advise you to look into the business rules capabilities of IIB. A little ingenuity should convert Schematron to a useable format.

Edit: I'm also told by an associate that they can be converted into XSLT and used in that format, which obviously IIB does support out of the box. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

				Hi..

Thanks, IIB9 says it support XSD 1.0.

I could not find a similar page in the IIB10 beta documentation, hence asked..

I will try the XSL route, thank you for the hint.. _________________ Regards |

If you go down the XSLT route be aware of the following:-

1 - Performance - bad

2 - Debugging? - With a wing and a prayer

3 - Performance - very bad compared to other transformation methods

If you have a lot of transformations to do then it might be worth looking at a Datapower Appliance. _________________ WMQ User since 1999

The beta documentation does not reflect what will be GA'd. Or it might. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.
