				Hi All,

         I may be asking a dumb question but I couldnt find any info on this anywhere(neither in infocenter nor in forum)

How do you do the XML Declaration in JCN that is equivalent to the following ESQL.

	| Code: |

	-- Create an XML Declaration

      SET OutputRoot.XML.(XML.XmlDecl) = '';

      -- Set the Version within the XML Declaration

      SET OutputRoot.XML.(XML.XmlDecl).(XML.Version) = '1.0';

      -- Set the Encoding within the XML Declaration

      SET OutputRoot.XML.(XML.XmlDecl).(XML."Encoding") = 'UTF-8'; |

Any input is appreciated.

TIA.

				| I think a lot of people did this already. Please shed some light on this. |

				Don't use XML domain, it's deprecated.

Use XMLNS instead.

The XML Declaration is a "parser specific type". _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

				Thanks for your response. Sorry Guys.. That was a typo to use XML as Parser which I never intended but my question was more around how to do the XML Declaration in Java Compute Node as I did not see any samples around this but I will try Jeff's suggestions to see if it works.

Thanks

This is a really useful post. Do you think dilse found his answer in the last six years? |

At least this should be helpful for those who search for this topic hereafter. |
