Hi All,
We have broker and username server installed on AIX server.
We are trying to install configuration manager on the same AIX server above.
My concern is
Basing on ibm help i saw you need to stop all components before you do install or apply pathces i did the same.
I have stopped the broker and username server on AIX server
and i performed install process for the configmgr using xsession by running setupaix script.
During the xsession i got all the install process screens except the license agreement screen.
And at the end i got an error says "Error occured during installation" .null
Any Ideas.. ASAP appreciated

It sounds like a PMR.
This said, have you actually encountered a problem? You said that the error occurred at the end of the installation, so maybe your installation is fine. |

After long time IBM suggested try to install in different directory other than
/usr/opt/IBM/mqsi/6.0
different directory means i dont understand...??
Any ideas ASAP

Hi,
Up on IBM Suggestion i have tried to install Configuration Manager
in all possible ways
/usr/opt,
/usr/opt/IBM
/usr/opt/IBM/mqsi
/usr/opt/IBM/mqsi/6.0
got the following error
The chosen destination is already associated with another installed product.
Choose an alternative install location.
Any help would be appreciated.

| For the NullPointerException, did you try using the console option to install (./setupaix -console)? Perhaps there is something wrong with the UI install. Also try a folder that is not in /usr. |

Hi,
I have tried with (./setupaix -console) it gave the same error NullPointerException.
I will create a new directory and point the install to the new diretory and see what happens.
