Are you referring to the users path? Should the ldap libraries be sooner in the path then? I will have our OS guys look at this.

I wanted to add resolution to this. The PMR with IBM looked at a lot of things, and then we needed to get involved with OS.

At the same time my company's OS support worked through Vintella and decided to upgrade to the latest version of Vintella (VAS for vintella). AFter this upgrade the MQ/ldap communications worked again.

I don't know the cause, but it was some relation between the OS version and Vintella version that MQ didn't like.

Its fixed now.

vas was upgraded from Version 3.0.3.43 to Version 3.3.1.87
