I was having the same problem amq6125..security error.

Initially i failed to check the permission of active logs dierectory..it was changed to some admin id..since it is development machine i just changed .it is running now.like wise check for the file permissions and if possible compare with some other the queue manager which up and running.that will give u some clue. _________________ IBM Certified System Administrator - WebSphere MQ V6.0

				Hi Rohit/Gayatri,

The permission are filne. I had checked all the permisions for the MQ file systems. All looks fine, its mqm:mqm. Have compared with other qmgrs as well.

and also I cant create new qmgr on this server it says "error 895 occured".

I am not able to crate new qmgr and not able to start existing one. |

I am doubting about your installation now.

Check the authority of /opt/mqm or /usr/mqm file system.

are there any other FDC where we can look in to, any more error log desc

Regards

				Hi!

My suspections in order of possibility:

Needed files not accessible (wrong permission, or not mounted) Is all datafile/logfile/config file available on its place?

File system corruption (did you reboot? Did fsck run?)

Log file corruption (what kind of logging do you use? Linear/circular?)

MQ fileset corruption (check if every mq related file is on place. I do not know how to do it on HP-UX, AIX has a package manager command to do it: lppchk) Maybe you will need to reinstall the filesets.

Also you might start a query on people: "Hey folks, who did WHAT???"

				Hi,

Thanks for your suggestions, have tried every piece of advise, still no luck. Have verified /etc/passwd /etc/group and the permisions for the filesystem, everything is fine. not sure, where is the culprit?

I am planning to go for re-installation of MQ now.

thanks for your replies. |
