I have installed MQWF 3.3.2.2 on a HP-UX (11) box. I have created a Web Client configuration as root.

When I logon as fmc I am unable to create a new configuration. I have some other AIX boxes where fmc can create/delete/modify configurations.

How do I set it up so that fmc can create/delete a configuration.

fmc is in the following groups

1. mqm

2. fmcgrp

There must be some problem with user permissions.

Does the user fmc has root permissions or equivalent sudo previledges? |

Yes, it is definitely a permissions problem.

'fmc' is not in any other group except fmcgrp and mqm.

On the AIX boxes where I am able to create/delete configurations, fmc is in the following groups:

1. fmc 2. mqm 3. db2admin 4. mqm 5. staff

I think the group staff is the one that's making the difference. Do you think that addind staff to fmc would make the difference.

I have done this in the SUN SOLARIS box..

I have added fmc user in the mqm, fmcgrp & db2admin group.

And the user has sudo previledges (root equivalent).

I have not added this user to staff group. |

				sudo user means dummy root.

On unix root is the super user who as access to everything. I believe u must be aware of that.

What my unix administartor does is , he creates a user and give root permissions to that user. I use that user for creating configuration. Before every command I have to type "sudo" keyword. ex. sudo fmczutil

As for creating workflow configuraion u need a user , say fmc , who as root permissions on the system. |
