This is a question for the monitoring section. I don't know QFlex (and we don't have it here). _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

I'd be interested to know if that decision included costs for developing and maintaining software, as well as the risks associated with monitoring software being developed by people who haven't done it before. |
That's 2 of us.
Still, the customer is always right. Even if the customer is barking mad. So long as they pay the invoices. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

You have already implied that. At least I have already understood that before you explicitly said so, so let's forget about QFLEX now.

This is not a question, this is a statement about my doubts, which I'm going to resolve either by looking at appropriate documentation, asking directly Netflexity people, posting a question in another section, or whatever. Think of it here only as a remark, I mean here in this section.
My first sentence was a question. I was asking my self, you, who ever is willing to discuss it, if a new channel event would be usefull to solve the problem you see. I have named it descriptively, as a reference to my previous thoughts about the problem. |

Point taken; this is a discussion best started as a new thread in the montoring section, as we're moving away from the initial channel restarting issue into a monitoring one.
Or at least a new thread somewhere - this one's getting a bit unwieldy. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

Sorry about that, I just write things as they fall on my mind without considering other aspects of my actions. I have started a new thread about it here:
http://www.mqseries.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=185948
I'm driving now at the possibility to present this discussions to IBM people as a quick reference, when asking for official explanations, requests, etc., if presented ideas here, proove to be worth of such an effort. |
