Hi,
Is Message Broker File Extender part of the core WMBv6 product or a paid for extension? I have an IBM document that describes "WebSphere Message Broker File Extender (distributed with core WebSphere Message Broker version 6 function)". But I don't understand if the File Extender product is included in the core Message broker product or vice versa?
If it is a paid for extension then could you have such a package as Message Broker with Rules & Formatter Extension and File Extender? Any ideas if the cost is comparable?
Apologies if this is a daft question... I'm returning from a year off, missed a lot of stuff and have 'mummy brain'. I also could not find the answer usig the search button - though I did find lots of other useful information on the topic.

Hi Vicky.
I have WMB 6.0 installed and i don't have Message Broker File Extender.
I suppose that it's not a part of core product. |

Eddie is correct - the File Extender is an additional cost product.

You are correct. It is not a part of the core product. You have other options as well. Such as JText and TX adapters. Ask your IBM Rep about them. Each has its pros and cons.

Hi Vicky,
MBFE is a paid for product that you install on top of Message Broker.

Can you send me the ibm document you are looking at that says it is included?
