It's over by Penalty: Italy 5 penalties -- France 3. (missed one early)...
It was a very nice game, the field domination was there but it had to go to penalty kicks....

I believe he was provoked. Nobody heard what the other player said to him.

that simply doesn't matter. those players provoke eachother all the time, it's how you deal with it, that makes you great.
His feet were the best of the last decenium, his head wasn't always...

Well he used his head yesterday, just not in the right way.
He is fortunate that he is retiring. That type of action almost demands a lifetime ban. It is totally unforgivable.
Whether he was provoked or not is of no matter. He simply should have kept on walking away like he was doing. |
