				Hi

Is there any limit that we have to limit our # of Queues and channel in each QMGR |

				No.

But yes.

There is no fixed number.

But your machine has limits, particularly in terms of network resources for channels. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

I have it in my head that fewer QMs is better from a resource perspective....but would just like to clarify because I'm at a decision point.

For instance....say I needed to define 30 queues on one server. If I had a choice, it would be better for me to define all 30 queues in one QM; rather than 10 queues in 3 QMs.

Is this accurate logic, or it really would not matter either way? |

I don't think there is any question at all: 30 queues in one qmgr is better that 10 queues each in 3 qmgrs.

Extra qmgrs means more connections, additional processes, more things to break....

The only reson IMHO for multiple qmgrs on a single box is for isolation purposes. _________________ -wayne |

Or active/active high availability where >1 queue managers may end up on the same machine. |
