When the messages are added the throughput goes follows: -

When messages are retrieved the througput goes:-

When both the PUT and GET work together, the performance is not moving up:

What could be the bottleneck when both get and put runs together on the same Queue and both the clients and server are also running on the same box. |

I don't know what platform(s) you're working with, but there are several possibilities.
In general:
The amount of resources available for the queue manager to accomplish various tasks comes to mind.
The capabilities of your processor and OS to facilitate concurrent processing (i.e., multi-processors, etc.)
There are various others and some are more prevalent in certain architectures. You need to tell a bit about your environment.

The environment is
Sun 1 x 500MHz , solaris 5.8 with patches 117000_03, 1GB ram, 2 x 40GB hard drive and MQ5.3 with CSD 4.
What do we need to fine tune for Queue manager to accomplish this task? |
