Where can I look for syntaxes relating to creation of shared queus..I download System management and planning guides of MQ OS/390..But they dont have this....Say if three queue managers are in the shared group ...what is the syntax for adding another to this shared group.

Regards,

Have a look at "MQSC Command Reference Guide". _________________ Kiran

				Hi,

Even there I could not find how to form a queue sharing group....how to add queues to the group or queue managers.

Thanks,

I wasn't sure whether you were asking how to add Queue managers to a Queue sharing groups or how to define shared queues within a QSG.

To add a Queue manager to a qsg you use the CSQ5PQSG utility, this is described in the System steup book under 'Task 15: Add the MQseries entries to the DB2 data-sharing group'

To define a shared queue within the QSG you do a Define QLocal with

the QSGDISP(SHARED) and CFSTRUCT(structurename) parameters specified as described in the MQSC command reference.

For example:

 DEF QL(CSQ4IVPG.TRIGGER) REPLACE -

DESCR('WebSphere MQ IVP INITIATION QUEUE') -

 DEFSOPT(SHARED) MSGDLVSQ(FIFO) NOHARDENBO USAGE(NORMAL) -

 QSGDISP(SHARED) CFSTRUCT(APPLICATION1)

Shared Queue is a concept in OS/390..So check out the OS/390 specific guides for the syntax..
