				| Hi All, Can anybody suggest anything about my problem? I have the problem with MQSI 2.0.2. The problem is: I have installed MQSI (configuration manager) on the server and broker on the workstation (where i do my job
. All work fine. I could connect to configuration manager, deploy configuration, and etc. But once there was a problem with power and workstation was shut down abnormally. After that I never could connect to Configuration manager on the server. Reinstallation of MQSeries and MQSI did not help me. Only after I did REINSTALL W2K problem was disappear. Such problems also were with my colleagues. Could anybody explain me why it does happen??? | |

				| Andrey, I think that you'll have to be more specific about what the actual problem symptoms were, for example what the exact error message was, and when it occurred.

One of the first things you should be doing is also looking in the error logs, for example the Windows Event Log when you're running MQSI components on the Windows platform. You should carefully note the messages when (a) you start the Broker and (b) when you start the ConfigMgr to see if errors are posted. You can also have some errors that only show up in the Control Center when it tries to connect with the other components (Config Mgr).

In general, I've found MQSI v2.02 to be pretty robust and survives radical, ugly reboots without any problem.

				| I bet if you'd re-installed DB2 you'd have fixed the problem. Or maybe even just zapped the MQSI tables then re-installed MQSI. | |

				| Thanks for your attention. There are more clarifications about that problem: 1. I could connect to Configuration manager (server) via Control Center from any workstation without problems, except:
 2. When I'm trying to connect from my workstation, in event log on the server appears two following messages:
 *********
 First:
 Channel negotiation failed.
Channel '' between this machine and the remote machine could not be established due to a negotiation failure.
Tell the systems administrator, who should attempt to identify the cause of the channel failure using problem determination techniques. For example, look for FFST files, and examine the error logs on the local and remote systems where there may be messages explaining the cause of failure. More information may be obtained by repeating the operation with tracing enabled.
 ********
 Second:
The TCP/IP responder program could not be started.
An attempt was made to start an instance of the responder program, but the program was rejected.
The failure could be because either the subsystem has not been started (in this case you should start the subsystem), or there are too many programs waiting (in this case you should try to start the responder program later). The reason code was 0.
 Channel negotiation failed.
Channel '' between this machine and the remote machine could not be established due to a negotiation failure.

Even after reinstallation of DB2, MQSeries, and MQSI the problem did not disappear.
 Can you help me???
If you require additional information, i'll provide it.

 Thank you very much.

				| From this information, it sounds like we have an MQSeries communications related issue as opposed to anything at the MQSI level. I am suspecting that the FFST files will probably have the nuggets of info required. These are files that end in .FDC in the MQSeries errors directory. Recreate the problem and look for the latest-date/time .FDC files. If possible, post those back here.
Has anything changed on your workstation related to networking? For example, have you installed or changed firewall settings, proxies, or other networking software packages?

				| I'm not sure that the FDC file is part of your MQSI problem. I searched an internal problem database, and I got a hit. The error that you are seeing happens during a shutdown. I imagine that you've already failed to get connected long before trying to shutdown. For what it is worth, the internal database said the FDC's problem should be fixed in CSD2 (no time frame). | |

				| Guys, I could repeat the problem. If somebody can explain me why it's happend it will be great. Otherwise, I have to reinstall W2K again. Control center (MQSI) displays me 2195 error code.
There is a file from error folder which MQSeries creates:
