is it possible to send text (eg page length text) through one variable in the wf containers? if not how can i accomplish this?

Yes you can, but why would you need to simply reference _PROCESS
actually you are correct, i don't think i want to do that. for some reason I thought that mapping the _PROCESS into a variable ... |
