Hello
There is a need for one of the apps to suspend/resume Qmgr to control the incoming traffic into the Qmgr. Qmgrs are dedicated to the apps use.
Options we can think of are:
REST API
triggering a job on the host to run the script for disabling/enabling queue. App puts a message to the queue and triggers the job.Any other thoughts or ideas
PCF commands
Any other thoughts or options? |

My first thought is which is it? Do you need to SUSPEND/RESUME QMGR or do you need to ALTER QLOCAL(q-name) PUT(ENABLE/DISABLE) ?
If the former, then yes, as you say, you can send an administrative command (which you can either do directly as a PCF message to the command server or via the REST API).
If the latter, you have an additional option which is the MQSET verb. MQOPEN using option MQOO_SET, then MQSET, then MQCLOSE.
Please clarify *exactly* what it is you need to do.
Cheers,
