Hi All am trying to configure SAP Adapter in IIB but I got gate way failed exception, can any one please tell me the configuration issues for this and the exception is
The resource adapter named 'IBM WebSphere Adapter for SAP Software' returned the following error: 'Failure in connection to EIS Exception in connecting to SAP : Connect to SAP gateway failed
Connection parameters: TYPE=A DEST=ip|800|userpi.350036 ASHOST=ip SYSNR=00 PCS=1 COMM_CP=1100
LOCATION CPIC (TCP/IP) on local host with Unicode
ERROR partner 'ip:3300' not reached

Connection refused sounds like a firewall or the wrong port

| Thaks for quick reply. I have changed both services and host file for resolve the above exception but still I got the same exception |

Won't fix a firewall problem. What's running locally that might be blocking?

Hello Together, Good day!
@Premji: May I know how you fixed below problem.
@Victor: could you please give me more clues.
The fact is am able to telnet the server using gateway-ports; 4800 and 4801 port . And using specific port while creating new SAP adapter connection along the SAP connection Wizard is not supported.
And I am not sure from where and why 3300 port is picked default.
I found "sapgw00 3300/tcp" entry in services file and update to "sapgw00 4800/tcp", but the adapter uses 3300.
Error below:

you may have to bounce your server after changing the services file.
