Hello All,
We are trying to install MQ Client on HP-UX machine but we are getting some issue while doing. we are getting below error while installing.
Client Binary: mqc75_7.5.0.2_hp-uxItanium.tar.tgz
Error:
* Target connection succeeded for "ABCD123:/".
ERROR: Could not apply the software selection "MQSERIES" because
there are no product variations that are compatible with the
destination host(s).
* Software selection failed for
"ABCD123:/data/mq/p750-002-130627.v11".
ERROR: No software has been selected.
ERROR: Cannot continue the "swinstall" task.
* Selection had errors.
Below are the server details.
HP-UX ABCD123 B.11.23 U ia64 0583814051 unlimited-user license
## But, If we select “Allow installation of incompatible software” from SAM options it is showing the “MQSERIES” product.
We can see only one MQ client version on IBM site for HP-UX, mqc75_7.5.0.2_hp-uxItanium.tar.tgz.
Please suggest how to overcome this issue.

You did not specify... but is your HPUX and Itanium machine?

would seem to indicate that it is an Itanium (IA64) System.

| Did you double-check the level of HP-UX against the supported levels for MQ 7.5.0.2? |

Server is HP-UX Itanium 64 only.
I can see below in the IBM site, thae means version is supported to the HP-UX 11.23, when I checked with Unix Admin, he is saying no issues with the system parameters and it looks more with the MQ version, sicne it is displaying the MQ version if if select “Allow installation of incompatible software”.
Note: 1.For HP-UX 11.23 (11i V2) and later operating systems, the tunable kernel parameters: shmem, sema , semmap, and maxusers, are obsolete.
2.For HP-UX 11i V3 and later operating systems, the tunable kernel parameter nfile is obsolete.

If you start here http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg27006467 and follow the links for 7.5, then the HP tab and and then scroll down to Operating System you should find this:
Operating Systems
HP Platform listing of supported OS
HP-UX 11i v3 IA64 and future OS fix packs
So only HP-UX 11i v3 ( aka 11.31) is supported and that is the way it is specified in the packaging.
