hi,
just curious , for the MQ sample programs such as amqsget or amqsput, i believe they don't come with options to skip DNS queries. If I want to prevent reverse DNS lookups, i can only do it at OS level , right?

If you look at the supplied source of the sample programs, they don't do any DNS queries. Inside MQ it might do DNS queries, such as to resolve the host name in a MQ Client connection name, or a Sender channel in a queue manager, but the programmer has no control over that.

Do you know how to disable reverse dns in MQ 7.5 ? I read that in v8.0 there is a new attribute for qmgr REVDNS(DISABLED). |
