| Hello All, I have a sender channel from MQ V6 QM to V7 QM and I want to use both primary and secondary IP addresses of V7 QM in CONNAME. IBM provides a supportpack "IBM MR01" but it talks about connecting HA Link between WebSphere MQ and a "Service Integration Bus" and not between two QMs. Will same support pack work between 2 Queue managers also ? Pls advise. Thanks ! |

No.
Also WMQv6 doesn't support primary & secondary IP address in a CONNAME. That was introduced in v7.

| Thanks Vitor ! Agreed that we can't use multiple connames in V6, however is there any supportpack released by IBM to achieve this ? (e.g. any channel exit or so) It must be a common scenario where I have 2 QMs, one on V6 and antother upgraded to V7 and I want to send msgs across them. |

IHMO most people either:
- have upgraded all their v6 queue managers because they enjoy having IBM's support & not paying extra for it
or
- use HA software to achieve this.

| Actually, MR01 CAN be used between 2 qmgrs. Though upgrading to current supported levels is the better answer. |
