Hi,
We installed by error the MQ server version instead of the client.
I would like to understand if this is a more common mistake or are we that stupid :-? |

It's about as common as installing Microsoft Excel instead of Microsoft Word.
It's about as simple to rectify, and has broadly the same long term consequences.

If this is your first installation, I'd guess that you didn't pay close attention to the installation instructions. If your platform is Windoze, there was a GUI prompt for which of the components that you want installed.

None, really. If you installed the wrong component, uninstall it. No harm, no foul (fowl).

Exactly. Unless you suspect the Ghost Of Microsoft Excel Past will turn up at Christmas, or the guilt of doing the wrong thing will blight your life for an extended period...
