				Nice list, with some caveats....

The Oracle Messaging Gateway is not a MOM... it is a MOM bridge (AQ to a JMS oriented MOM IIRC)...

The MOM's listed have a widely different OS/Programing language availability.

Also there is no feature or API / standard compliance comparison...

Have fun _________________ MQ & Broker admin |

				Hi Pavan,

Where did you get the 90% market share figure ? I'd heard 83% in 2005 or so in one of the IBM MQ Brochures, and have been trying to get the official figure now...can you please provide the source...

Well, down here on Earth, most consultants can think beyound MQ, even if they don't. |

Hi Elvis, I assumed that with recent releases of MQ and the changes that came with them coupled with new sub-products like MQ-LLM and MQ-FTE, it would have jumped from 83 to about 90. It is only an approximate figure.

Thanks Saper, I will try to include Portability across platforms and API support. By standards and compliance are you referring to JMS, SOAP, HA etc?

@zpat Well, that is probably true. But looking at the % share WMQ has, I seriously doubt if a majority of them bother to go explore beyond it.

Thank you all for reviewing the list. Will post back the updated list. _________________ _____________

Changed my post to reflect the official 83% in 2005 figure. Not inviting any trouble here _________________ _____________
