Dears
presently we are also trying to upgrade the oracle from 9i to 10G. Ours is AIX ver 5.2 ML10. The version CD Broker 5 do not create the merant50 directory for data direct 5.0 drivers. I am also not getting location or pointer the broker 5 version which creates the merant50. I have opened PMR with IBM but they never respond positively as we are asked for the service extension contract.
It is highly appreciated if you can provide me the pointer or the same merant50 folder zipped file provided if you are using the AIX. If you let me know the size of the file then you can be transfered to me by mail or by uploading to some website.
your help is highly appreciated. |

This was added in a later fixpack of v5.
YOU SHOULD NOT BE DOING ANYTHING WITH V5.
You have already discovered that you can't get any support.
Use v6.1 or v7.
There's NO REASON to install v5. |

I have already migrated to ver 6 in another env but some application issues are there. The dev team is not interested to look into.

You install the broker base version and then the fix pack.

Then tell them they can no longer access the database.
That might pique their interest. |

we have one env where the broker with CSD5 applied. but when i check i did not see any merant50 folder in /opt or /usr/opt/mqsi/ This was installed in 2005 Nov.
