				Hello,

I'm desperately searching for a tool, with which I can browse a queue with more that 200 messages.

Background is, that we have an archive queue on each QM which contains every outgoing message (company policy.... - I can't fight aganst it ). This is for tracking purposes. Every week, this queue is cleared but at the end of a week some queues contains about 4000 messages. In cases of differences between the source and the destination application, I must be able to have a look into this queue to determine which messages has left the source system.

With the MQ Explorer I have the limit of 200 messages. With amqsbcg I get drowned with the details of every message. And with m2f the messages is no more in the queue and I'm loosing some heading informations (date, time) which I can see excelently in the MQExplorer.

Has somewhere developped a custom tool for this to share it with me?

Any help is welcome.

Thanks and regards from Munich, Germany.

				Jeff,

They are not the only vendor. We also provide a stand alone message editor called QN-AppWatch for WebSphere MQ. It provides more functionality than just browsing/editing but will solve Oliver's issue.

You can get a 30-day evaluation of QN-AppWatch by clicking on:

				Reconda,

I thought I will try your product so I clicked on the link you have provided. First box on this product registration form says 'Password 1 to 10 characters'. I entered a password that was coincidentlly 9 characters long. Next box is confirm password but, you know, that box allows only 8 characters to be entered.

Leave it, I will try your product some other time. PQEdit and my own custome tool is doing just fine for time being.

Thanks anyway. |

Thanks a lot for the hint. I tried this tool but it seems that I can't connect to a remote QM.

Oh yes, I already tried it. But I've found no possibility to expand the width of the message field. Thus I can't use the complete functionallity of the filter functions for this field.

Cheers,

There are 2 ways to connect to a remote QM with PQEdit

1) Set MQSERVER env variable to point at remote QM

and when specifing the QM to PQEdit use >QMGR_NAME

2) You can create a pair of CLNTCONN/SVRCONN Channels _________________ Jeff
