				Hi,

I'm using the File input node with FTP enabled. The server I'm trying to connect to is using FTP with implicity SSL/TLS and a username/password.

But the File input node does not retrieve the expectedfile and there are no messages in the event log. it seems to freeze up the broker when I try and stop/start/remove the flow.

Does anyone know if it's possible to use this node in this way? I tried it with a filezilla server to test and it connected, but there was no SSL connection established. I thought it might be an issue with accepting the certificate but I think it would establish the SSL connection before that.

Thanks,

Are you sure The FTP port has opend for the server?

If it yes then make sure that the user which you tried login to the server have permission to access the those files.

And the userid should be in od of the group of the server. |

				| I can log on and access the files successfully using Filezilla so I don't think it's a permissions issue. |

The File input node in Broker V6.1 does not support FTPS. Sorry. You'll have to use raw FTP. _________________ Paul |

****************************************************************

WebSphere Message Broker does not support the use of Secure

FTP servers.

Problem conclusion

WebSphere Message Broker has been modified to add support for

Secure FTP (SFTP) servers.

This enables users to:

* Create a flow that will securely read a remote file.

* Create a flow that will securely write a remote file

* Use a configurable service to specify the SFTP settings

including any advanced SFTP connection parameters.

* Configure an SFTP configurable service to use strict known

host checking.

* Specify an SSH key to use to authenticate to an SFTP server.
