				| OK. I know I am going to open a pandora's box. But could not resist. Just heard Oracle is going to take over BEA. Means oracle has the following components:
 1. BEA's BPM suite and Web Logic
Means Oracle is going to be a strong player in middleware market. Now having been with WebSphere Middleware and BI products since my career, I would like to see what are your comments/suggestions on switching over to Oracle middleware.

 Please share your thoughts.

				| I want to see a WebL. working as IMS /CICS or an Oracle working as DB2 or (better) DL/I. I want to see a WebL. working as Pathway or and Oracle working as Encribe/TMF on NSK.
I want to see an upgrade for WebL. without recompile applications as my old IMS/ESA applications on my actual IMS V10.
I want to see a WebL....

				| My 2 Cents:
My current site is a big Oracle user and there's a management policy of "Oracle First", i.e. any technological or business need should be satisfied using the Oracle product line where possible. As a result Oracle Fusion is on site and the plan is to migrate the IBM WMB/WMQ onto it.

I say plan, it's more an objective as the first 3 POCs have crashed and burned for various, possibly site specific reasons. But IMHO Oracle needs a lot more depth & maturity in their product line before they can take on IBM & TIBCO effectively.

But given the size & resources of Oracle, it's a significant move.

I want a way to pay my bills without actually having to do proper work.

Wait, that's what I do now!

				| Thanks for sharing comments: I know Oracle is the leader in RDBMS and they would like to have piece of the middleware pie also.
I did a quick scan of Oracle middleware jobs in Georgia and could not find much. Well, I could not find on WBI either.

One good thing is Oracle offers everything free for the developers. So I have started of with the Oracle Process Manager and Jdeveloper. boy!! the site is so slow. I am still having problems with the installation.

Those of you who are contemplating to migrate/ against migration to Oracle middleware ( I guess that covers all), please share your comments

If you have WebSphere Message Broker in production, it comes with a license statement that you can install copies on your PC(s) for use in developing flows. You do not need separate licenses for this. See section 12 (Unit Testing) of http://www-01.ibm.com/common/ssi/rep_ca/6/897/ENUS207-246/ENUS207246.PDF
