With WPS being next evolution of WICS, does WPS is capable/handle all the functionality of WICS ? currently we have many services in WICS which have string (flat files) as i/p & O/P using data handlers and so on.. and handling around 100K transactions / day

now, going to WPS, can we migrate these kind a collab temp? or will it be a overhead to WPS in concern to volume ?

or is WMB the option for flat files ?

has anybody drawn a roadmap from WICS to WPS ? or do we have to go for both WMB & WPS and re-build the services for WMB ?

any thoughts? |

A friend of mine is co-author of the redbook "Migrating ICS to WPS". The book is to be released pretty soon and I am waiting for that too. His mqseries.net username is Ratan

From what he says migration is definitely feasible |

If Vennela is Bandaru, He was my super senior during undergrad in INDIA. And Ratan was my work colleague at my last IBM project early 2006.

I'm just beginning to gain experience on Process Server. Working on a POC/POT for ICS migration to WPS for Puerto Rico Telephone Company/Claro/America Movil.

Hope I can contribute something useful to the forum in the days to come as I continue to move forward learning one thing at a time. |

Ask good questions, not bad questions.

Make posts about things you have learned. You may still get told that you did it wrong, or a better way to do it.

Read questions ,and try and answer them yourself, even if you don't necessarily post the answer. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |
