Well.
One, WBIMB, is written in C.
One, WPS, is written in Java.
They both can talk to MQ.
It's a shame that IBM doesn't have entire sections of their website devoted to things like Redbooks that would describe technical content from a conceptual point of view, and Documentation that would describe products in specific technical detail. If there were such websites, then you could just search them, and read what you found there.
Then you wouldn't need to wait for anyone else to help you.

WESB/WPS - you pay for your development license vs. WMB's free toolkit
WMB - native cobol capabilities as well as a defined product roadmap w/ mercator (and their data format dictionary's) |
