				When I do an "lslpp -l | grep mqm" on my AIX servers, I get the following:

========

 mqm.Client.Bnd 5.3.0.2 COMMITTED WebSphere MQ Client Bundle

 mqm.Server.Bnd 5.3.0.2 COMMITTED WebSphere MQ Server Bundle

 mqm.base.runtime 5.3.0.5 COMMITTED WebSphere MQ Runtime for

 mqm.base.samples 5.3.0.5 COMMITTED WebSphere MQ Samples

 mqm.base.sdk 5.3.0.5 COMMITTED WebSphere MQ Base Kit for

 mqm.client.rte 5.3.0.5 COMMITTED WebSphere MQ Client for AIX

 mqm.java.rte 5.3.0.5 COMMITTED WebSphere MQ Java Client and

 mqm.keyman.rte 5.3.0.2 COMMITTED WebSphere MQ Support for GSKit

 mqm.server.rte 5.3.0.5 COMMITTED WebSphere MQ Server

 mqm.base.runtime 5.3.0.5 COMMITTED WebSphere MQ Runtime for

 mqm.man.en_US.data  5.3.0.2  COMMITTED  WebSphere MQ Man Pages - U.S.

========

MY question is: If I want only Server & Client (including SSL) installed/upgraded, do I really need the following filesets:

mqm.Client.Bnd 5.3.0.2 COMMITTED WebSphere MQ Client Bundle

mqm.Server.Bnd 5.3.0.2 COMMITTED WebSphere MQ Server Bundle

				You are looking at way too much detail. Some files are included in the upgrade some are not.

check the command mqver.

This will give you version and CSD.

Now if you are going to do SSL make sure the base and CSD have been installed in the SSL version.

Enjoy   |

No, those are bundles for use with the "Easy Install" program xinstallm, that program is not included in AIX 5.2 so you will not need the bundle filesets. _________________ Philip Morten
